Ticketmaster to Start Rolling Out New-and-Improved Tickets in Apple Wallet App on iOS 18

Ticketmaster’s Got a Fancy New Ticket…But You Can Only Use it if You Live in LA (and Like Soccer)!

Apple’s been busy giving its Wallet app a little makeover with iOS 18, especially when it comes to how event tickets look. And guess who’s the first one to jump on the bandwagon? That’s right, it’s Ticketmaster, the company everyone loves to hate (except when they’re trying to snag Beyoncé tickets).

So, what’s so special about these new tickets? Well, they’re not just a pretty digital face. They’re packed with info like a map of the venue (so you don’t end up in the nosebleed section when you paid for front row), parking details (because circling the block for an hour is no one’s idea of fun), and even the weather forecast (because who wants to be caught in a downpour without an umbrella?).

But here’s the catch. This glorious new ticket experience is only available for a very select group of people right now. Specifically, if you’re going to the LAFC vs. San Jose Earthquakes soccer game on October 19th, and you have an iPhone with iOS 18.

It’s a bit like Ticketmaster is saying, “Hey, we’re innovating! …But only if you’re into soccer.”

Don’t worry, the rest of us are supposed to get this magical ticket experience sometime in 2025. Until then, we’ll just have to keep squinting at our tiny QR codes and hoping we parked in the right lot.

Oh, and apparently the Miami Heat will be getting the new tickets too at some point…but even Ticketmaster isn’t sure when. So, stay tuned, sports fans! Maybe one day we’ll all be basking in the glory of digital ticket convenience.
