JWoww From “Jersey Shore” Makes a Found Footage Horror Movie?!
Alright, internet fam, you won’t believe this: Jenni “JWoww” Farley, the OG powerhouse from “Jersey Shore,” has gone from fist-pumping to filmmaking! She’s created a horror movie called “DEVON,” and it’s hitting Cineverse’s Screambox streamer just in time for Halloween (November 12th, mark your calendars).
The trailer dropped earlier this week, and it’s giving major found-footage vibes, reminiscent of “Megan Is Missing” or MTV’s “Fear.” Think shaky cameras, terrified twenty-somethings running through a creepy abandoned asylum, searching for a missing girl (also named Devon, because why not?). There’s even a news anchor intro, a la “Blair Witch,” to really sell the whole “is this real?” angle.
Now, does it look like a high-budget masterpiece? Probably not. But hey, “Fear” was pretty darn scary back in the day, and who knows, maybe JWoww has a hidden talent for spooky storytelling. If she throws in some killer music (imagine Godsmack’s “Voodoo” playing as they enter the asylum!), we might just have a surprise hit on our hands. It definitely has the potential to grab attention, especially from “Jersey Shore” fans curious to see JWoww in a totally different light.
So, will “DEVON” be the next big horror flick, or just another forgettable found-footage fright? We’ll have to wait and see. But one thing’s for sure: JWoww’s definitely taking a big swing, and that’s pretty darn cool.
