Rare Apple Macintosh Prototype From 1983 Could Break Auction Records

Holy Antique Applesauce, Batman! A Macintosh Prototype From Before Most of You Were BORN Could Fetch Over $100,000!

Folks, you think your iPhone 15 is fancy? Get a load of THIS: an Apple Macintosh prototype from way back in 1983 – we’re talking the stone ages of personal computing – is about to hit the auction block. Experts say this bad boy could go for over one hundred thousand big ones!

Now, this ain’t your grandpappy’s Mac. We’re talking a pre-production model – one of the few survivors of Steve Jobs’ legendary temper tantrum. See, this early Mac used a “Twiggy” disk drive, a 5.25-inch floppy beast that proved about as reliable as a politician’s promise. Jobs hated it so much he ordered them all destroyed before the Mac’s official launch in ’84.

But this little Mac dodged the bullet. Not only did it survive, but it’s in great shape. It even comes with some sweet vintage accessories: a prototype keyboard with a handwritten serial number (talk about exclusive!), a weird-looking mouse with a funky connector, and a disk labeled “Mac Word.”

And if that’s not enough to make a collector’s heart flutter, the software on this thing is like stepping into a time machine. It’s got early versions of classic Mac apps, and some messages are even attributed to Steve Jobs himself. That’s like finding a note from Thomas Edison in your lightbulb!

So, who’s gonna drop a stack of cash on this piece of Apple history? We’ll have to wait and see. The auction runs from October 13th to the 23rd. But listen, if you’ve got money to burn and a hankering for some serious retro tech, this could be your chance to own a piece of computing legend. Just don’t expect it to run Crysis.
