Charli XCX: From “Brat” Summer Anthem to Secret Movie Star?

The movie, titled “Erupcja,” was inspired by a real-life story about a traveler stranded in Warsaw after a volcanic eruption. Charli plays Bethany, a tourist navigating a “combustible relationship” with a Polish woman. And get this – the director, Pete Ohs, says she’s completely “unrecognizable” in the role, shedding her “Brat” persona for something totally different.
This isn’t just a one-off for Charli, either. She’s got a whole bunch of film projects lining up, including roles in Gregg Araki’s “I Want Your Sex,” Daniel Goldhaber’s “Faces of Death,” and more. Seems like she’s set on conquering Hollywood just like she conquered the music charts.
