New Magic Keyboard Coming for iPad Air, But Hold Your Horses, It’s Not Here Yet!
So, Apple is apparently working on a new Magic Keyboard for the iPad Air. Big whoop, right? Haven’t we seen this movie before? Well, this time, it’s supposed to be better. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the guy who seems to know everything about Apple before Apple does, says it’ll have some of the fancy features from the iPad Pro’s Magic Keyboard.
That means it might be thinner, lighter, and have a bigger trackpad. Oh, and maybe even function keys! You know, for doing important stuff like adjusting the brightness. Because apparently, reaching for the screen with your finger is just too much effort.
Who does this affect? Well, anyone who owns an iPad Air and is tired of typing on that flimsy onscreen keyboard. Or anyone who just really likes shiny new Apple gadgets.
But here’s the catch: it’s not coming out until "early next year." That’s Apple-speak for "who knows when." So, you can either get excited and wait, or you can just keep using your old keyboard and pretend you don’t care. Your choice, folks.
