Martin Scorsese: Not Retiring, Still Making Movies!
Hey everyone, it’s Hank Green, and there’s been some buzz about the legendary Martin Scorsese possibly retiring. But hold on! Scorsese himself has come out and said he has “no intention of retiring.” He’s still got a lot of movies he wants to make!
So, what’s the deal? Well, two of Scorsese’s upcoming films, “A Life Of Jesus” and “Sinatra,” have been delayed. This led some to believe he might be hanging up his director’s hat. But Scorsese clarified things at a press conference in Italy, saying “Sinatra” is just postponed, and he’s still working on “Jesus.” He’s hoping to get the resources to finish both.
Scorsese has a bunch of projects in the works, according to sources like World Of Reel. Besides the ones mentioned, there’s a “Gangs Of New York” TV series, a Teddy Roosevelt movie with Leonardo DiCaprio, an “SCTV” reunion special, an adaptation of the novel “Home,” and even a shipwreck documentary he started filming recently.
It’s impressive, considering his recent films, “The Irishman” and “Killers Of The Flower Moon,” were both epic in scale. If you look at his IMDb page, it lists upcoming projects like “The Wager,” an adaptation of a shipwreck bestseller. Making movies like that takes a lot of time and effort!
But it seems like Scorsese is up for the challenge. He’s not slowing down anytime soon. We’ll just have to wait and see what incredible films he brings us next!
