iPadOS 18.0.1 Now Available for M4 iPad Pro Models After Pulled Update

M4 iPad Pro Owners, Rejoice! iPadOS 18 is Back From the Dead!

Remember that whole iPadOS 18 debacle that bricked some M4 iPad Pros? Well, Apple has finally crawled out of its Cupertino hole and released iPadOS 18.0.1, bringing the update back to life for those poor, neglected iPads.

Apparently, the initial release of iPadOS 18 was a bit of a disaster for a “small number” of M4 iPad Pro users – their devices were rendered completely useless. Apple, in their infinite wisdom, decided to pull the update faster than you can say “software glitch”. But fear not, loyal Apple fans, because iPadOS 18.0.1 is here to save the day (or at least your iPads).

So, what’s new in this magical update? Well, besides fixing the whole “bricking your iPad” thing, it also addresses some other minor bugs that were plaguing iPad users. You know, like Messages unexpectedly quitting or your iPad performing slower than a snail in molasses because of memory issues.

But the real star of the show is still iPadOS 18 itself. This update brings a whole bunch of new features, including customizable Home Screens, a revamped Control Center, and updates to almost every app you can think of – Photos, Messages, Safari, Calculator, Notes – you name it, it’s probably got a new feature in iPadOS 18.

So, if you’re an M4 iPad Pro owner who’s been living in fear of updating your device, fear no more! iPadOS 18.0.1 is here, and it’s (hopefully) safe to install. Just head over to Settings > General > Software Update and get your update on. And hey, at least you got a few extra weeks to enjoy the stability of iPadOS 17, right? Every cloud has a silver lining, I guess.
