Apple to Release New iPad Mini: Will it Finally Fix That Annoying Jelly Scrolling?
Folks, it seems Apple is finally getting around to updating the iPad mini, that cute little tablet that’s been gathering dust since, what, 2021? Yeah, three years is a lifetime in tech years. So, what’s the big news? Well, rumors are swirling that the iPad mini 7 will hit the shelves sometime next month, and it might just address that “jelly scrolling” issue that’s been driving some users bananas.
For those not in the know, “jelly scrolling” is basically when one side of the screen scrolls at a slightly different speed than the other, making it look, well, like jelly. Apparently, Apple might fix this by simply rotating the screen. Genius, right? Who needs fancy new technology when you can just turn the screen around?
But that’s not all! The new iPad mini is also rumored to get a performance boost, maybe with the fancy new A17 Pro or A18 chip. You know, the kind of chip that can power “Apple Intelligence” features, whatever those are. Probably something that tells you how many times you’ve scrolled through TikTok today.
And of course, we can’t forget about the colors! Rumor has it that the pink iPad mini might be gone, replaced by a more sophisticated blue, just like the iPad Air. Because who needs pink when you can have “business casual” blue, right?
Look, nobody’s expecting the iPad mini 7 to be a revolutionary product. It’s more like a “we finally remembered this thing existed” kind of update. But hey, maybe it’ll surprise us. Maybe it’ll be the tablet that changes the world, or at least fixes that annoying jelly scrolling. We’ll just have to wait and see what Apple has up its sleeve. And if it’s just a slightly faster iPad mini in a new color, well, at least it’s something.
