Wolfman Howls Back to Theaters with a Bite in January!
Universal and Blumhouse are taking another crack at the classic werewolf tale with a new “Wolfman” movie set to hit theaters on January 17th. This comes after a less-than-stellar attempt in 2010 with “The Wolfman” starring Benicio Del Toro. This time, Christopher Abbott takes on the hairy mantle, alongside Julia Garner, Matilda Firth, and Sam Jaeger.
The recently released trailer at New York Comic Con is keeping the full wolf transformation mostly under wraps, teasing glimpses of Abbott’s character’s changing features – bulging veins, emerging claws – building anticipation for the full reveal.
The story follows Blake (Abbott) and his wife Charlotte (Garner) as they retreat to his remote childhood home in Oregon after his father’s disappearance. Their family getaway takes a terrifying turn when they are attacked by a mysterious creature, forcing them to barricade themselves inside. As the night unfolds, Blake undergoes a horrifying transformation, leaving Charlotte to confront a threat both inside and outside the house.
The film promises chills and thrills for horror fans, hoping to capture the classic monster movie magic in a new and exciting way.
