Apple’s Vision Pro: Turns out it’s not just for checking email in your metaverse bathroom!
Folks, Apple’s at it again, this time making a splash – a submerged splash, you might say. They’ve released “Submerged,” a World War II short film designed specifically for their fancy new Vision Pro headset.
So, what’s the big deal? Well, Apple wants you to feel like you’re right there in a cramped submarine as it’s torpedoed. They’re calling it “Apple Immersive Video,” and they claim it’s the “next generation of narrative filmmaking.”
Now, I don’t know about you, but I haven’t been this excited about feeling claustrophobic and terrified since I last flew Spirit Airlines.
But hey, at least it’s more creative than staring at spreadsheets in 3D!
And it’s not just war movies. Apple’s promising a whole bunch of “immersive” experiences, includingNBA All-Star weekend footage, a Weeknd concert thing, and even a freediving documentary.
So, who’s this for? Well, anyone who shelled out the big bucks for the Vision Pro, I guess. Apparently, all this “immersive” stuff is included for free.
Look, I’m not saying it’s not cool. But I can’t help but wonder if maybe Apple’s trying a little too hard to convince us that this expensive headset is more than just a glorified VR gadget.
But hey, at least they’re not releasing another pair of $200 polishing cloths. Yet.
