Apple CEO Tim Cook Sells Over $50 Million Worth of Stock

Tim Cook Cashes In: Apple CEO Makes $50 Million Stock Sale!

Folks, it seems like Tim Cook, the head honcho over at Apple, just got a whole lot richer. According to some official documents, he just sold a chunk of his Apple stock – 223,986 shares, to be exact – and raked in a cool $50 million. That’s enough to buy a whole lotta apples, or, you know, a small island or two.

Now, this wasn’t just a random stock dump. Apparently, Cook got these shares as part of a bonus based on how well Apple’s stock did compared to other big companies. And it seems like Apple’s been doing pretty darn well. He often sells stock in October, so this wasn’t entirely unexpected.

But wait, there’s more! Cook also got another 219,502 shares this week. Some of those will be his in a few years, and the rest depend on how well Apple does in the future. So, if you’re an Apple shareholder, you better hope they keep crushing it.

This all comes after we learned that Cook already had about three million Apple shares at the start of the year, plus another 1.3 million on the way. We’re talking serious wealth here, folks. His stock alone is worth over $500 million. And that’s not even counting his salary and other bonuses.

Last year, Cook’s base salary was only (and I say “only” because it’s still more than most of us make in a lifetime) $3 million. But he made way more from stock awards and performance bonuses. And don’t forget the perks – you know, the little things like 401(k) contributions, life insurance, and private jet travel. Rough life, huh?

So, there you have it. Tim Cook, already one of the richest guys in the world, just got a whole lot richer. Is this the American dream? I don’t know, but it’s definitely an apple-flavored dream for Mr. Cook.
